Terms and conditions

Consultation – The consultation is free of charge within a 30 mile radius of Ashtead, Surrey. The initial consultation is usually used to understand the scope of work, provide design advise and take accurate window measurements to be able to provide bespoke products. Please note we cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of measurements supplied by the client.

Quotation - A full quote detailing the cost of each item will be provided. Quotes are valid for 60 days.  Read your quotation carefully as items will be supplied and made in accordance to the quotation. Once the deposit is paid, you agree to bespoke items as per your quotation.

 

Specific brief – If you have something specific in your brief for soft furnishings this should be provided in writing. Front of House are not responsible for any specifications that are discussed and not provided in writing.

Fabric – Fabric for curtains, blinds, pelmet, cushions, upholstery will be provided by Front of House. We are unable to take clients own fabric.

 

Sampling – We provide small samples of your selected fabrics Free of Charge.

 

Returnable samples – These are charged at £2.50 each for the returns carriage which is refundable against any order placed. If samples are not returned, they are chargeable at the cost of 1 metre of the fabric selected.

 

Dye batch – Fabric can vary in tones and shades in accordance to dye batches. We cannot guarantee a complete colour match unless fabrics are from the same batch.

 

Natural fabrics – Due to the delicate nature of silk it should not be exposed to direct sunlight. “Natural” fabrics are characterised by slubs and weave irregulates this is not a defect. Due to the inherent nature patterns on natural fabrics may have tendency to movement, a tolerance for this should be allowed especially on striped, tartaned and geometric patterns. 

 

Synthetic fabric - By nature can have a lot of movement and therefore may drop once made up into curtains and/or blinds and hung. This is not a fault as it is beyond our control but the nature of these types of fabrics. Front of House will correct any product that falls into this category.

 

Blinds – We cannot guarantee 100% blackout on our blinds or curtains. Black out helps to darken a room but seepage is unavoidable around the edges. When using blackout lining the stab stitching sometimes leaves holes which light can seep through. This is can not be avoided as the stitching holds the lining to the fabric.

Safety – In line with safety regulations please note that all our blinds are always supplied with child safety devices which should remain fitted to avoid any risk to babies or small children.

 

Deposit – A deposit of 50% of the agreed quote is required to secure your order. Payment can be made by cash, bank transfer or cheque. All orders are unique; therefore, clients should be aware that the deposit is non-refundable as it will be used to order supplies specific to your requirements.

 

Lead time – Turnaround time is generally 3-4 weeks from deposit being received. However please be aware that most products are bespoke, and the turnaround time can vary and is dependant the order size.

 

Completion – Once your items have been completed, we will contact you to confirm arrangements to deliver and fit as required.

 

Final Payment – Upon completion of the work a written invoice will be provided which details each item, the deposit paid and the final balance to be paid. Final payment is due upon delivery of the completed items. Items remain the property of Front of House until payment is received in full.

 

Cancellation - Deposit will be 100% refunded if work has not started on any bespoke products. After that only the value of the deposit less costs incurred up to that point can be refunded.

 

Unforeseen delays – Some orders may fall outside of our lead time due to unforeseen circumstances through no fault of our own. If this does occur, we will contact you providing full reasons for the delay and keep you updated on the progression of the order. This will not result in orders being cancelled or deposits being refunded.

 

Refunds - Made-To-Measure products are by their nature unlikely to be able to be resold and therefore, unless faulty or not as described, we cannot refund or offer an exchange on any bespoke products.

 

Data protection – When you make an order, we will record personal information including name, billing address, contact information which we use at the time of payment. We do not store credit card information. We do not pass any information on to third parties.
